We all have a stake in the health of our education system and we can work together to do better for our kids.  We need to encourage more participation from our parents and make education a team effort with our teachers.
 

WE have a big job to do.  Behind our soaring unemployment statistics are real families who suddenly don't know how they are going to make ends meet. As a knowledgeable business owner with over 20 years of practical business management experience, I have the necessary leadership skills to assist business owners with innovative ideas to help survive in one of the toughest budget environments in modern memory.
 

As a former Firefighter/EMT, paid and volunteer, I am acutely aware of the challenges small fire departments face in rural communities like ours. I am also aware that our local firefighters and emergency medical personnel understand best what their needs are. Working with our Local Emergency Medical Services Agency and fire departments will always remain a top priority.
 

I want to work closely with our Public Health Agency and support their efforts on health education, outreach and prevention. It is important to develop collaborative relationships to improve overall health status.

I am eager to work with our local law enforcement and the Sheriff's Office Liaison Committee to enhance communication and understanding between the Sheriff's office, Board of Supervisors and our communities throughout the county.
