As a former Firefighter/EMT, paid and volunteer, I am acutely aware of the challenges small fire departments face in rural communities like ours. I am also aware that our local
firefighters and emergency medical personnel understand best what their needs are. Working with our Local Emergency Medical Services Agency and fire departments will always remain a top priority.
I want to work closely with our Public Health Agency and support their efforts on health education, outreach and prevention. It is important to develop collaborative relationships
to improve overall health status.
I am eager to work with our local law enforcement and the Sheriff's Office Liaison Committee to enhance communication and understanding between the Sheriff's office, Board of Supervisors
and our communities throughout the county.
